Job Overview

 

Getinge is searching for a strategic senior manager capable of supporting the Service Business Operation, by driving performance, challenging leaders, and designing/executing key initiatives to improve profitability. 

This is a key position that understands market dynamics, business drivers, and end-to-end processes. The incumbent must be a proven leader, with the ability to educate and influence the Service Organization on financial KPIs, and will be a key partner in strategy setting. The individual must be able to give financial guidance and direction, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives all while driving accountability and ownership. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Demonstrate the ability of being highly proactive in the analysis of service performance and able to recommend corrective actions and cost saving programs.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on productivity initiatives that drive efficiency, eliminate waste and add value to the bottom line
  • Understand and be able to effectively communicate and partner across the organization to drive the Service Organization’s performance
  • Act as liaison between finance and service management in all matters pertaining to financial planning, reporting and analysis for the group.  Participate in service management and field meetings.
  • Understand how Service operational KPI changes impact financial results. Support the Service team in translating strategic imperatives into financial indicators, and perform special analysis for the VP of Service, Chief Financial Officer.
  • Ensure Service financial reporting is aligned with group standards and consistent across the Business Areas
  • Lead indirect purchasing activities to support the service business.
  • Responsible for the service headcount reporting and reporting of performance metrics.
  • Calculate annual overhead rates.  Analyze and understand monthly performance and absorption.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review Monthly Service P&L and drive activities to improve performance.
  • Develop model for tracking installation time and expenses. Identify areas and products that have the largest opportunities for improvement.
  • Create pricing model to support service agreement pricing strategy.
  • Lead rolling forecast and capital planning for the Service department.
  • Provide financial guidance to Service management on investment appraisal (e.g., new headcount, equipment & tools). ROI, payback, NPV.
  • Monitor Service inventory evolution and flag material deviations to yearly trends. Provide finance support to any Service inventory reduction initiative.
  • Responsible for approving Service-related quotes, ensuring consistent profitability levels aligned with expectations and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain a business climate that fosters cooperative working relationships with customers and encourages employee participation and initiative.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting. 
  • MBA preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years direct related experience in a corporate environment, preferably in support of a Service organization.
  • Proven business acumen and experience with optimizing business processes
  • Knowledge and proven experience with accounting and accounting principles.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and manage the cross functional relationships between the Service and Sales organizations, Back Office and Financial Controlling Team.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.  Ability to manipulate data from reports, synthetize it and communicate it clearly to a non-finance audience.
  • Detailed understanding of financial principles to include income statement, balance sheet, margin, mark-up, discount versus volume relationships and variance analysis.
  • SAP experience
  • High level of expertise with MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Knowledge of Access beneficial. 

 

The base salary for this position is a minimum of $145,000 and a maximum of $182,000 plus an annual bonus of 25%
