Role Description

As a Senior Business Data Analyst specializing in GFiber, your mission is to empower our Finance and ERP teams with data-driven insights. You'll achieve this by developing tools that track key performance indicators across various domains, including billing, accounting, finance, HR, and supply chain. Your expertise will enable these teams to make informed strategic decisions. This role demands a blend of analytical thinking and technical proficiency. You'll need to understand the intricacies of each business domain to create resources that unlock critical metrics, facilitate performance and strategy analysis, and enable complex problem-solving. The ideal candidate thrives in both building new reports and optimizing existing ones. You possess a high degree of autonomy, strong business partnering skills, and a proactive approach. You're comfortable tackling unfamiliar challenges and adept at managing large datasets with meticulous attention to detail. Your innate curiosity drives you to uncover not only "what's happening" but also "why" – even if it requires deep dives into the data. You're a technical expert, proficient in writing code, creating visualizations, and conducting in-depth analysis.

In this role, you'll:

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Billing, and HR teams to develop analytical and reporting tools that unlock forecasts and business plans, drive improvements to processes and productivity, and help manage strategies and resource allocations to maximize business results.
  • Drive analytical problem-solving and deep dives - work with large, complex data sets; solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. 
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional partners to understand business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end data analysis.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and metrics updates to your management and other stakeholders by delivering effective presentations. 
  • Own business domains E2E, becoming the single point of contact for all data, analysis, or solutioning questions.
  • Comfort with undertaking specific tasks, bugs, and maintenance work. Additionally, comfort with owning complex projects, proving mastery through accuracy, timeliness, and volume of work, with minimal guidance.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, mathematics, analytics, computer science, engineering, or another quantitative field
  • 5 years of experience in the Finance/ERP analytical field, working with large data sets, visualizations and dashboard, modeling, and KPI's.
  • Experience partnering and presenting to executive and departmental leadership teams with an emphasis on influencing with data and modeling.
  • Experience with data manipulation including SQL, sheets/excel, and visualization and dashboard technologies.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Expertise with the Google Cloud Platform suite of visualization and ETL tools (e.g. ,BigQuery, Looker).
  • Experience with ERPs and/or billing software (e.g., SAP, Zuora, Coupa)
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, collaborative environment with strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience in translating data analysis into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills inclusive of all levels in the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Understands how a system and tool landscape works in harmony with data and analytics, and can partner with engineering to improve this relationship.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $130,000 - $190,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
