Raytheon is seeking a Senior Field Service Specialist to provide sensor support to the Korea Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Global Hawk (GH) program.
In this role, you will be responsible for the RQ-4 GH Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suite must perform a variety of tasks to ensure optimal operation and maintenance of the sensor systems.
This accompanied position will be onsite in South Korea at Osan Air Base for an international assignment with additional compensation.
This role requires flexibility, as you may need to work a non-standard work week, including overtime, weekends, and shift work, to support customer tasking. Additionally, you should be prepared for both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) travel as needed to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.
What You Will Do
- Sensor System Maintenance:
- Direct and perform maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of the sensor systems on the UAV.
- Follow product specifications and engineering guidelines to recommend and implement repairs and sustainment activities for the sensors.
- Technical Problem Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and issues related to the sensor systems.
- Use engineering data to provide solutions and recommend maintenance actions to ensure the longevity and reliability of the sensors.
- Advisory and Mentorship:
- Advise and mentor military and contractor technicians and leadership on various maintenance tasks.
- Provide guidance on the removal and installation of new hardware, software updates, interpretation of engineering data, and system configuration management.
- Operation and Testing:
- Operate, inspect, and test the sensor systems equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the sensor systems using specific test equipment.
- Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions:
- Analyze equipment failures to determine the root cause and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
- Documentation and Record Management:
- Document and manage performance and maintenance records for the sensor systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately to facilitate future troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Experience with avionics, sensors, electro-optical, Infrared and/or RF hardware engineering / maintenance.
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers and Digital Multi-meters.
- Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
- Experience working in a military flight line environment and extreme weather conditions.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with computer hardware / software / system integration experience including ground station support, UNIX, and Solaris 8/10 operating systems.
- Experience working with UAVs and/or Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft maintenance.
- Working knowledge of military aircraft maintenance forms, equipment accounts, CAMS/IMDS, and flight line procedures.
- Working knowledge of computer systems / networks and UNIX operating systems
- Excellent communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military/corporate customers and vendors.
- Ability to interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Ability to interact productively with other Raytheon Technologies Field Engineers and customers in a team setting.
- Ability to work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scope and complexity.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
