ABOUT YOU:

As a Senior Environment Artist. you will play a key role in the art team, producing high-quality exterior and interior environments for multi-platform projects, and ensure that the integration of the work is in line with the technical constraints and artistic direction whilst helping mentor the team.

   You will be working on exciting projects within an experienced team with a proven record of delivering quality products. The ideal candidate should demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail, creative flair, and a drive for excellence.\

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality environmental models in their entirety, respecting as closely as possible the concept art, level design and platform technical constraints. 
  • Deliver clean and optimized low polygon models, and efficient UV layouts according to the project’s technical requirements
  • Create additional assets such as set dressing, foliage, gameplay items and hero assets
  • Creation of LOD models using relevant third party packages
  • Touch-up textures after engine integration to optimize quality
  • Light environments that are performant, whilst being sympathetic to the level design and art direction.
  • Assist leads in planning work for milestones to ensure deliveries are met to an industry standard quality in good time.
  • Cross department collaboration to ensure artwork meets the brief and satisfies the original designs.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of industry standard modeling software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya or Blender.
  • Experience mentoring small art teams whilst driving the creation of large scale VR / XR environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of content creation pipeline (modeling, UV, texturing, lighting, and implementation).
  • Expert knowledge of a modular environment workflow and trim textures for large scale environments. …
