Job Description
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll be a technical leader and people manager, responsible for guiding the team to technical decisions for production services, helping prioritize and organize the team's work, and providing career growth and mentorship opportunities to your team. You will manage a group of 5-10 engineers on a hybrid of Software and Applications Engineers, working closely with your Technical Program Manager counterparts and Legal partners to build the robust tools and solutions to meet Atlassian’s diverse legal needs.
Your purview includes a mix of first-party and third-party software, spanning Legal domains (Privacy, Employment, Commerce, etc.) and will require collaborating cross-functionally.
In this role, you will:
Partner closely with folks from engineering, legal, and product to define problems, design solutions, and deliver impact.
Own delivery of critical projects in support of our OKRs and business outcomes
Build an open, operationally mature culture
Participate in hiring planning and other budgeting exercises
Collaborate in technical/architectural discussions, provide direction and drive decision-making
Required Skills/ Work Experience
7+7 years of experience managing engineers, ideally in a hybrid mix of SaaS third-party and first-party products towards enterprise front/backend applications.
Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience partnering with technical program managers and business teams to create measurable outcomes and KPIs for the organization.
Demonstrated experience implementing dev-ops best practices.
Excited to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Familiarity with the Legal business domain is a strong plus.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $205,700 - $274,300
Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900
Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
