The Opportunity:

The Senior Engineer, Intune is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems management infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune. The engineer plays a crucial role in managing and deploying software applications, operating systems, and patches across a diverse range of devices within the organization including both Windows and Apple devices.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operating system deployment: Create and maintain standardized operating system images and develop deployment strategies to efficiently install and configure operating systems on new and existing devices for both Windows and Apple devices
  • Application and patch management: Manage the entire lifecycle of applications, including packaging, testing, deployment, and updates. Coordinate the distribution of patches and updates to ensure all systems remain secure and up to date.
  • Endpoint protection: Implement and maintain endpoint protection solutions using SCCM and Intune, including antivirus, anti-malware, and other security configurations to safeguard the organization's assets
  • Automation and scripting: Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in managing SCCM and Intune infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and issue resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to SCCM and Intune, including software distribution failures, client communication problems, and policy enforcement errors.
  • Mobile device management (MDM): Utilize Intune to manage mobile devices, configure policies, enforce compliance, and enable secure access to organizational resources on various platforms such as iOS, Android, and Windows.
  • Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, guidelines, and procedures for SCCM and Intune administration

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Professionally related certifications strongly preferred
  • Strong experience in implementing and managing Intune and SCCM infrastructure •
  • Proficiency in packaging and deploying applications using Intune and SCCM
  • Experience with operating system deployment and configuration management
  • Knowledge of mobile device management principles and hands-on experience with Intune
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies such as M365, Azure AD and M365 Security Products (Microsoft Defender, Azure RMS, MDAV), Bitlocker
  • Exposure to integration and network security
  • Expertise in Autopilot, Co-management, Conditional Access, device policies, Azure Active Directory and Office 365
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • This position pays between $91,400 - $175,200 based on experience
