Company Description

AEM Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing technical solutions, providing technical direction, team alignment and development, operations and support of the Adobe Experience Manager platform as well as other extension tools that are integrated to enable seamless and relevant digital commerce experiences across all customer touchpoints (web, mobile, iOS and Android). In this role, you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders, internal technology teams and external technology partners that support the AEM platform, it’s development and operations. Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects. 

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Responsible for designing technical solutions, providing technical leadership, direction, and implementation of technical projects that affect all Abercrombie & Fitch consumer digital experiences
  • Build and maintain features within A&F's Adobe Experience Manager platform
  • Invest in continual improvements to tooling or technical debt and ensure that the system evolves to meet changing needs and environment
  • Champion technical and process transformation including adoption of DevOps, CI/CD and testing automation practices
  • Implement rapid changes to meet changing business and marketing requirements
  • Ensure that implementations meet required scalability and reliability standards for A&F digital operations
  • Analyze and diagnose any issues which may impact performance or availability in the AEM environment
  • Develop functional and technical documentation on assigned projects and code consistent with A&F standard coding practices
  • Work in a team environment, supporting the team goals and improving engineering practices
  • Work closely with organizational stakeholders, technology partners and other members of the Digital Product Engineering team to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects
  • Measure, review & improve application & individual microservices Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet performance, scalability & security goals
  • Troubleshoot issues with business partners and support teams during on-call production support in rotation with other team members
  • Follow agile-scrum software development methodology by participating in the daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Continuously improve IT platforms based on retail technology trends to support business strategies
  • Participate in the implementation of AEM related features, including design, definition, and development of AEM content type models, workflows, templates, components, and user permissions.
  • Building AEM components and templates as needed while working closely with UX, Design and other developers.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and figuring out innovative solutions.

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT Engineering or equivalent experience. 
  • 12+ years of experience in a related field with at least 8 years in AEM 6.x development.
  • Extensive knowledge of the AEM architecture and technology (OSGi Framework, Servlet engine, lucene indexing, Apache Felix, Sling, etc. are a must
  • Experience with AEM workflows customization, setup and maintenance as well as User Group Management.
  • Good understanding of AEM's security along with its Access Controls
  • Experience in Adobe Experience Manager - AEM Core components, Asset Management, Implementation and using main AEM consoles like authoring environment, CRX DE, Package Manager, Users Administration Area, OSGi consoles.
  • Ability to define components, dialogs and corresponding Sling Models
  • Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution and building tools
  • Experience creating scripts and runbooks for AEM installations Experience with set ups, configurations, and integrations with new AEM installations.
  • Experience with AEM Desktop tool set up, configuration and integrations with other Adobe Creative suite tools like Adobe Photoshop, Bridge.
  • Knowledge of AEM Brand portal set up and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite tools like Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Capture and other.
  • Knowledge of SPA templating in AEM
  • 6+ years of Java/J2EE development.
  • Knowledge of web development, with a good understanding of the CSS and JavaScript ecosystem
  • Familiarity with CI/CD - git, Jenkins, Maven.
  • Basic SQL query skills.
  • AEM Sites Developer certification
  • AEM Sites Architect certification is a plus
  • Experience with web architecture and IT security best practices.
  • Setup And Configure AEM Authoring, Publish, And Dispatcher Environment With Adobe Recommended Best Practices.
  • Integrate AEM With Other Marketing Products Like AssetLink, Target, Campaign, Sensei and Other Internal Endpoints like PIM.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions
  • Proven interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and customer service skills
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software and maintain competency with technologies
  • Familiarity with basic Linux or related platform concepts and commands

Therefore, in states and cities that require the hourly or salary compensation or pay range to be included in a job posting, the recruiting pay range for this position is $118,000 - $137,000. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your years of experience, your work location, comparison to other employees in similar or related roles, or market demands.
