We are looking for a talented individual…​

​To join our team as a Senior Energy Engineer. Support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. Lead design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develop plans and provide reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. Write and inform technical documents, publications, and conducts quality review of content. Provide general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Support business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities.​

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can… ​

  • Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics

  • Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include:

  • Identify, lead, and qualify   custom/M&V projects in our programs (beyond deemed savings)

  • Oversee the development of calculators and measure configurations within central database

  • Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities; author IPMVP compliant plans and reports

  • Established and trusted technical advisor to multiple large-scale programs

  • Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)

  • Subject matter expert in at least two significant technical areas

  • Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight

  • Oversee technical feedback related to filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff

  • 5-10+ years Engineering experience - Including experience with ASHRAE level 2 auditing, M&V, etc

  • BS Engineering degree

  • Preferred - HVAC engineering background


Target Compensation

$85,000 - $97,500

Compensation Range

$74,000.00 - $111,000.00
