Senior Endpoint Engineer

We are a dynamic startup in San Francisco seeking a skilled Endpoint Engineer to manage and maintain over 700 Macs and 100 PCs. This role is critical to ensuring our endpoint environment is secure, efficient, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will have experience in endpoint management, shell scripting, and using tools such as Jamf and InTune.

What you'll do
  • Manage and maintain the company's fleet of Macs and PCs.
  • Develop, implement, and document endpoint management policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Jamf to manage macOS devices and InTune for Windows devices.
  • Create and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Monitor endpoint performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure endpoint security by implementing and maintaining security measures.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware/software issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth integration of new software and hardware.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in endpoint management and security.
Who you are
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • You have proven experience in endpoint management for both macOS and Windows environments.
  • You are proficient in shell scripting for automation and task management (Bash and Z shell for macOS, Powershell for Windows is a nice to have).
  • You have experience working with the Jamf API (nice to have:InTune API Experience).. 
  • You can build custom packages for endpoints.
  • You have hands-on experience at a very high level with Jamf for macOS management.
  • You have some experience with Microsoft InTune for Windows device management.
  • Your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are exceptional.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You can work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
