Mazzetti is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects in the healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. This is a hybrid position involving working from home, client site visits, and being present in our Portland, Oregon office once a week. 


Your Tasks Will Involve

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for various MEP projects in alignment with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee the technical work of project teams and provide guidance to staff.
  • Collaborate on electrical designs and coordinate work within the Mazzetti team to successfully deliver projects from conception to execution. 
  • Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle including participating in client meetings, presenting technical proposals and progress reports, and addressing technical concerns or inquiries 

Work Location

This is a hybrid position based in Portland. The candidate will be required to be onsite in Portland for occasional specific project requirements, but the majority of the work can be done remotely from home in the Portland area. 

Requirements

Expertise And Abilities You Will Contribute 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems design (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to drive projects from conception to completion. 
  • Comprehensive MEP design system knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations governing electrical designs
  • Experience meeting and consulting with clients to drive successful project outcomes
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to oversee the technical work of other team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred:

  • Healthcare and hospital design experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • PMP Certification.
  • LEED Accreditation.

Salary Description $110,000 - $155,000/year Apply
