Innovation Engineering DepartmentÂ
The Innovation Engineering team is responsible for the development of standards, templates, specifications, and ownerâs requirements documents in support of Vantageâs global growth, most notably leading the Vantage prototyping effort known as OneDesign.Â
The team collaborates with all multi-functional teams within Vantage to drive prototypical designs for global deployment to ensure high quality, consistent product deployments in alignment with constantly evolving internal and external customer requirements. In addition to standards development, the Innovation Engineering team is responsible for leading due diligence assessment of merger and acquisition opportunity, and development of design requirements for customer build to suit opportunities.Â

Vantage is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Innovation Engineering team, which is responsible for the standardization of products across Vantageâs companywide portfolio. In this role, you will lead the design development of microgrid solutions, on-site power generation, and high-voltage electrical systems, including substations, switchgear, and MV transformers. You will also develop associated standards and specifications to establish a robust procurement program. The role requires regular teamwork and coordination with architects, other engineering disciplines, procurement, and the facility operations team. You will collaborate with regional design and execution teams to ensure new standards are established and existing standards are implemented, incorporating necessary enhancements into standard designs and specifications.Â
Essential Job FunctionsÂ
Design and Engineering Leadership:Â
Lead design and engineering efforts for high-voltage electrical systems, including substations, switchgear, and transformers.Â
Supervise the development of microgrid solutions, including system-level architecture and integration with renewable energy sources that can operate in grid-connected or island mode.Â
Collaborate with mechanical counterparts to develop and optimize central utility plants design and required electrical interface.Â
