Job Summary

Mazzetti is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Atlanta-based and regional projects, specializing in master planning and healthcare infrastructure design. This role requires a seasoned professional who can engage directly with clients, lead technical discussions, and contribute to strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, project management, and healthcare infrastructure, particularly in emergency services and data center-type environments.


Work Location

This hybrid position is based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The candidate will primarily work remotely but will be required to visit the project sites in Atlanta and within the region occasionally. 


Your Tasks Will Involve


Master Planning & Technical Leadership

  • Lead electrical infrastructure master planning for healthcare facilities and emergency services.
  • Provide high-level strategic electrical engineering input for data center-type projects.
  • Oversee technical execution, ensuring high standards of design and engineering quality.

Client Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a primary client interface, leading discussions and providing clear technical explanations.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into engineering solutions.
  • Represent Mazzetti’s expertise and values in meetings and presentations.

Project Management & Leadership

  • Serve as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, taking ownership of project execution.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Delegate Revit/AutoCAD tasks to appropriate team members (not required for this role).

Regional Support & Travel

  • Provide local project support in Atlanta and assist projects across the Southeast region.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% as needed for client meetings, site visits, and project coordination.

Requirements

Expertise And Abilities You Will Contribute

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, specializing in healthcare infrastructure
  • Master planning expertise – particularly in emergency services and healthcare power systems
  • Strong technical and soft skills – able to explain complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
  • Some previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Project management experience, with the ability to immediately contribute without a long learning curve
  • Knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure is a plus
  • Experience leading high-level client discussions and decision-making
  • Willing to relocate to Atlanta if needed (relocation support available for the right candidate)

Compensation: The typical salary range for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Atlanta is $125,000 to $170,000. We are committed to equitable pay and will evaluate final compensation based on relevant experience and skills in alignment with internal equity and market data.
