About the Role:

Credible is seeking a Senior Editor for Buy Side from WSJ with a strong personal finance background. In this role, you’ll set the bar for quality and consistency of Buy Side content and actively contribute to content and SEO strategy. 

You will report to Credible’s Director of Content and will manage an updates editor who is also dedicated to Buy Side from WSJ. You’ll assign, edit and update personal finance articles, while actively working to raise the bar for Buy Side content across verticals.

  • Have at least four years of experience editing personal finance content. 
  • Have experience working with content partners. 
  • Are a leader with management experience.
  • Are interested in mentoring junior members of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign, update and edit personal finance articles.
  • Review partner content for quality, accuracy and consistency.  
  • Manage an updates editor who will focus on personal finance content.
  • Optimize articles for SEO by strengthening methodology, adding visual elements and showcasing E-E-A-T.
  • Work closely with in-house and freelance writers to ensure quality content.
  • Help put together content briefs for writers based on topic ideas and SEO recommendations.
  • Coordinate promotion of Buy Side content with the WSJ editorial team. 
  • Assist with social media and newsletter promotion of Buy Side content. 
  • Assist our Director of Content with other content strategy tasks as needed.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and continually expanding personal finance knowledge.

Education and Experience:

  • At least four years of experience editing personal finance content (expertise in mastering a personal finance vertical is a plus).
  • Experience managing a more junior coworker would be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organization and strong project management skills.
  • Experience with basic HTML and CSS a plus.
  • Experience working within WordPress, Asana and Jira a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay ranges for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, are listed below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
