We’re looking to hire a Senior Disputes QC Specialist to support consumer and business banking dispute quality control. As a Senior Disputes QC Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and executing dispute quality processes and procedures. This includes conducting quality assessments, creating reports, performing quality trend analysis, and driving continuous improvement by translating quality insights into actionable strategies. You will also leverage your expertise to contribute directly to ongoing projects that advance Mercury’s dispute program.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

  • Complete manual quality assessments of dispute resolution processes, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Create quality dashboards and trend reports.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on quality assessments to drive continuous improvement across the dispute program.
  • Drive quality calibration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development, refinement, and operationalization of dispute quality processes and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, compliance regulations, and internal policy changes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participates in special projects, internal audits, and process improvements in support of quality control initiatives.

You should:

  • Have 4+ years of experience in the finance industry focusing on quality for card and ACH transaction disputes
  • Have a strong understanding of Reg E dispute requirements
  • Have familiarity with Mastercard and/or Visa chargeback rules
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working within a high risk environment under minimal supervision
  • Have some product sense and knowledge of banking products such as ACH, International Wires, SWIFT, checks, and debit cards
  • Exercise empathy and understanding when communicating with team members
  • Communicate complicated concepts with efficiency and clarity
  • Be curious about the US banking system, startups, and ecommerce companies

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $108,300 - $127,400
  • US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $97,500 - $114,700
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD $98,600 - $115,900
