Job Summary:
As the senior director of risk management, you will lead the EB Underwriting team to achieve EB’s profit and growth goals. Collaborate with other members of EB leadership team (underwriting, actuarial, sales, benefits, customer service, legal, compliance, marketing, medical underwriting).
Apply appropriate underwriting guidelines, procedures, provisions and insurance statutes. Requires analysis and evaluation of multiple factors to resolve complex issues.
Makes decisions and recommendations for new processes and procedures.
Responsible for achieving financial and customer service goals for the assigned block of business.
Responsible for creating, maintaining, enhancing region specific strategy for profit and growth and customer service in cooperation with regional EB sales management including short- and long-term business planning.
Skills and Background You’ll Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related subject, and/or 10 years of progressively responsible experience in group insurance risk management.
7 years progressively responsible experience in a management position.
Advanced knowledge of risk analysis and underwriting philosophy, including experience analysis and alternate funding.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop underwriters and leaders to achieve desired business results.
Professional certification : FLMI or CEBS preferred.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
$127,500.00 - $203,500.00Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
