Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships

The Goal of the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships is to generate new business through referral partners with a strong focus in the ISV space. You will need experience with payment processing sales and ISV partnership management. This person should be a proactive, self-motivated individual, who can self-generate partnership opportunities. The role includes creating and signing new relationships as well as acting as the executive contact post-sale to help maintain/grow the partnership.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
· Generate new sales opportunities with new and existing clients, referral partners, and reseller relationships.
· Receive and respond to inbound calls and leads.
· Respond to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
· Continuously qualify and follow-up on sales leads
· On-site sales and/or client visits as needed, including trade shows and conferences.
· Client ownership from prospecting to contracting and stay involved throughout the partnership.
· Complete required tracking of milestones in a CRM or similar tool
· Lead webinars for prospective clients
· Identify trends from prospective responses and report as necessary.
· Maintain and promote a positive attitude while meeting productivity goals.
· Provide feedback to management regarding updates, policies, and customer issues.
· Continued education to keep pace with product modifications, additions, industry trends and changes in our regulatory environment (PCI and P2PE)
· Track and drive pipeline of opportunities, including regular executive reporting.
Environment/Conditions
· This will be fully remote. Occasional site visits may be required.
· This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday. Core office hours will be 8 hours within the range of hours. Depending on assigned responsibilities or projects, some nights and weekends will be required.
· Some travel may be expected for this position.
Requirements
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies.
• Deep knowledge of the payments industry and history of working with ISV partners of all sizes
• Must be a self-starter with a drive to succeed and a proven track record.
• Excellent negotiating skills, creative thinking, and the ability to think on the spot.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing externally as well as internally.
• Capability to lead meetings with executive contacts, both internally and externally
• Sense of urgency and ability to follow through.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM, and Teams or similar webinar tools.
• This is a sales position, and as such, it will be expected that the basic functions of a sales strategy will be performed daily.
• Payments and/or software (preferably ISV) experience is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
· College degree or equivalent working experience
· 5+ years of payment industry experience (acquiring bank, payments processor, or card brand) and/or healthcare software, patient billing, revenue cycle management, or patient experience software)
· 5+ years of sales and/or partner management experience with documented goal achievement
Preferred
· Broad and in-depth understanding of the healthcare industry, especially patient billing and/or revenue cycle management
· Ability to utilize prospecting applications and CRMs

Annual base salary gross: $135,000 - $150,000 and a variable component
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the SphereCommerce salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role. The base salary is one component of SphereCommerce’s total compensation package for employees.
