About the role
This role requires a leader who can unify and inspire product leaders, researchers, and designers while collaborating closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams. This role will play a key role in developing a cohesive product strategy, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring our products make a meaningful impact on teachers and students.
This role will shape the overall vision for product, research, and design, ensuring that both print and digital products deliver an exceptional user experience that aligns with our mission. This role will also be responsible for driving product development through data-driven decision-making, ensuring that the needs of our users and the opportunities in the market are at the forefront of everything we do.
What you'll do
- Deep User Understanding:
You will ensure that product leaders, designers, and researchers are consistently immersed in user research insights, enabling the team to prioritize features and functionalities that directly address the needs of teachers and students. Your leadership will guide the team in designing both print and digital products that are not only effective but truly user-centric, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our classroom users. - Alignment on Product Vision:
In collaboration with the Chief Product Officer, you will help ensure that the entire product team is aligned with the overarching design vision and strategy. This will require you to facilitate alignment between product leaders, design teams, and stakeholders to guarantee that our product strategy and user experiences work seamlessly together. - Collaborative Decision Making:
You will be responsible for fostering strong communication and collaboration between product, design, and cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success. You will drive a process of informed decision-making that is grounded in user feedback, market research, and business objectives, ensuring that the team works toward a unified vision. - Early Iteration and Prototyping:
A key part of your role will be ensuring that ideas are quickly conceptualized, iterated on, and prototyped through research and user testing.
