Senior Director, HCP Engagement Operations

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days on-site in Sleepy Hollow, NY and 2 days from home. A fully remote role is not possible. This role cannot be based in Basking Ridge, NJ.
The Senior Director, HCP Engagement Operations is responsible for tactical and strategic oversight of HCP Contracting for Commercial, Global Clinical Development (GCD), and Medical Affairs while leading a team of Operations and Engagement Leads in support of the HCP Contracting function and responsibilities. This role will provide critical leadership within the Commercial Operations Planning & Execution team, ensuring systems and processes are in compliance with all applicable internal policies, Federal/State laws and regulations related to HCP Interactions. This position leads a group of professionals and is responsible for defining roles/responsibilities and developing a strong team culture. An additional key responsibility of this role will be to coordinate and assist with global harmonization efforts and align with senior global stakeholders to ensure consistency with cross-border engagements.
In a typical day, you will:
- Develop and implement HCP Contracting strategies and implement best practices and innovative solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Operations and Engagement Lead professionals
- Oversee HCP Contracting outsourced system and process training, including development of training materials and monitoring of participation to ensure effectiveness and adherence applicable policies and procedures.
- Lead global harmonization of HCP Contracting function
- Manage related operational budgets and identify appropriate metrics and reporting to analyze trends
- Establish Team objectives to effectively meet business requirements ensuring alignment with applicable stakeholder groups
- Supervise, develop, and mentor team members through on-site coaching and feedback, recognition, formal development opportunities and training classes, while providing career path guidance.
- Stay abreast of all pertinent company policies, procedures and government regulations related to consulting services and promotional activities, and proactively seek enhancements to related processes.
- Regularly review and audit requests to ensure they are consistently administered in compliance with all company policies, procedures and government regulations; and support Internal Audits as needed.
- Manage relationships with key global stakeholders including: Commercial, Global Clinical Development (GCD), Medical Affairs, Compliance, Law Department, IT, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Accounts Payable, and more.
To be considered, you must possess:
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ Years experience in pharmaceutical and/or biologics industry.
- Minimum 10 Years HCP Contracting experience with 5+ Years Global Contracting experience with oversight of employees across multiple geographies.
- Experience leading an outsourced contracting model preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience contracting with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) starting with due diligence, contract parameters, Travel and related Policies, FMV and processes associated with fee-for-service (FFS) payments and out-of-pocket (OOP) reimbursable expenses.
- Skill and understanding of monitoring HCP Interactions, including but not limited to Speaker Programs and HCP In-Office Meals.
- Demonstrated experience managing a Team of 5+ professionals.
- Collaboration across a wide range of key stakeholders and professionals including Compliance, Law, Sr. Executives and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in both systems and processes.
- Proven ability to set goals and objectives, monitor progress, and drive results and positive outcomes in a timely manner.
- Strong organization, planning and project management skills.
