The Senior Director Global Network Services is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of Diebold Nixdorf’s enterprise and customer serving networks. This leadership position involves strategic planning, project execution, resource management, and ensuring the network's operational availability, resilience, lifecycle and security. The Senior Director Global Network Services works closely with other departments, IT Leadership, and Infrastructure & Operations services owners to align the network infrastructure with the technology standards, lifecycle practices, and the company's goals and objectives, making it a critical role in the overall IT strategy. This person must possess a deep understanding of networking technologies, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of IT professionals effectively.
- Set the mission, vision, and strategy of the organization to maximize the success of business and technology initiatives.
- Identify and implement strategies and techniques to ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization and its products post-sale.
- Develop 2+ year roadmap for the Global network that aligns with the Infrastructure & Operations and overall IT strategies
- Provide leadership and oversight of the Global Network operations including tiered support, removal of defects, lifecycle management practices to maintain a robust, available, and performing network platform
- Define and implement network technology and configuration standards, processes, procedures and policies
- Manage and optimize cost of infrastructure through automation, simplifying provisioning, change, quality, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee for the rollout of all network updates including capacity additions, equipment replacements and software upgrades while working with the field, customer service and engineering teams to meet the goals of minimal network disruption and customer impact
- Ensure projects and initiatives are completed per schedule and within budget
- Define and enhance metrics to baseline network assets, performance, and capacity
- Develop and manage high-level relationships with carriers, colocation centers, customers, and business partners.
- Develop an organizational strategy that fosters a diverse, growth-minded culture with a focus on results and standards, delivers the services expected from the business, and grows the skills, competencies, and careers of a strong, global team of networking professionals
