Job Title: Senior Director, Finance & Strategic Pricing

Location: Remote, USA

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Director of Finance & Strategic Pricing is responsible for partnering with Product & R&D to deliver financial & strategic planning, strategic pricing analysis and governance, and insight into financial and operating performance.

Informed by Everfox’s long range plan for growth, this role partners with Product & R&D’s leadership to translate the product elements of that strategy into an integrated plan optimizing resource & capital allocation, pricing strategies, development costs/investments, and product profitability. 

As the Finance Business Partner Product & R&D, the role engages as a highly credible, trusted advisor whose input and collaboration is sought in strategic and operational decisions.  Success requires deep understanding of the business, a data-driven approach to business inquiry and analysis, strong and trusted working relationships with business leaders, and delivering highly credible and accurate financial and business analysis.

This role also will evolve and lead strategic pricing for Everfox, ensuring our pricing approaches, analytics and processes complement the business strategy.   Proactively integrating information about costs, the competitive landscape and value offered to customers, strategic pricing builds a foundation for long-term profitable growth.   

Key responsibilities:

• Owns all Finance deliverables for Product & R&D – financials and analysis, annual plans/budgets, forecasts, pricing analyses, longitudinal models, investment cases, key performance indicators, trends, and business analytics

• Evolves and directs Everfox’s strategic pricing function to optimize product financial health:

  • Understand and derive long-term and incremental unit costs for each product category and professional services

  • Evolve from cost plus towards value based pricing analytics

  • Analyze the interplay between pricing, margins, and revenue

  • Forecast the impact of pricing changes on revenue, margins and life-time customer value

  • Support new product pricing, promotional strategies, and pricing adjustments

  • Create pricing strategies for various customer scenarios – perpetual license, subscription, consumption-based, support and maintenance

  • Develop discounting strategies for various product categories based on competitive landscape, customer budget/willingness to pay, and profitability

  • Produce pro-forma P&L for each product category

  • Conduct reviews of pricing performance ensure compliance with company policies and market regulations

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with business objectives

  • Leads the Pricing Governance process to align cross-functional leadership and C-Suite sponsorship on new and revised packaging and pricing

• Drives Product and R&D’s finance data and analytics strategy delivering value-add insights & analysis, improved tooling, and enhanced management reporting capabilities

• Evolves the planning model to increasingly center on critical performance drivers, with continuously improving planning, analytics and forecasting

• Develops strategic presentations to leadership, synthesizing complex information into a clear business narrative that builds conviction for change with employees, leaders, and sponsors

• Enhances mechanisms to ensure financial & operational goals are aligned and achieved

• Manages financial analysts to deliver on Finance deliverables for Product and R&D

Competencies:

• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, MBA preferred

• 7+ years of experience in financial and strategic planning and pricing

• 5+ years of progressive people leadership experience

• Demonstrated ability to:

  • Connect complex, technical strategic goals to financial imperatives and practices

  • Drive process improvements, and deliver actionable insights

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing priorities

• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and develop and maintain strong relationships

• Adaptable and versatile, with strong critical thinking, bringing a creative and strategic mindset, able to think outside the box

• Integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
