Job Description

The Head (Senior Director) of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) will be responsible for designing and delivering strategies and tactics that drive inclusive talent practices, foster a culture of belonging, and ensure global compliance. This role will work closely with Procore senior leadership, and GTO (HR) LT peers to define and drive inclusive hiring processes, equitable performance reviews and rewards distribution, and inclusive mindset-skillset-toolset. This leader will partner across Procore to develop a holistic DEIB narrative.  The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a results-driven leader with a proven track record of driving DEIB in a fast-paced, matrixed, environment. This role reports into our Chief People Officer and can be based in any of US based offices or remotely. 

What you will do:

  1. Strategy Development and Implementation:

    • Develop and execute a holistic Attract-Retain-Develop DEIB strategy that enables Procore’s business objectives and values

    • Set measurable goals and benchmarks for DEIB initiatives and track progress against these metrics

    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on DEIB progress, challenges, and opportunities

  2. Talent Management and Development:

    • Collaborate across GTO (HR) teams to ensure inclusive hiring practices and diverse talent pipelines

    • Develop and implement training programs that promote awareness, understanding, and skills that foster a culture of inclusion and belonging

    • Design and drive development and retention strategies for underrepresented groups

  3. Employee Engagement and Culture:

    • Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging through initiatives, events, and communication strategies

    • Conduct regular employee surveys and focus groups to assess the climate of inclusion and address areas for improvement

    • Develop and oversee mentorship and sponsorship programs to support the growth and development of diverse talent

    • Partner with external organizations to support employee volunteerism

  4. Policy and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion

    • Develop and update company policies to reflect best practices in DEIB

    • Address and resolve any DEIB-related issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner

  5. Leadership and Advocacy:

    • Lead and support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

    • Partner with senior leaders and Talent Business Partners to embed DEIB principles into business strategies, operations, and decision-making processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DEIB, with at least 5 years in a leadership position

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing DEIB strategies in a fast pace, matrixed, environment

  • Strong understanding of DEIB best practices, trends, and legal requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting on DEIB metrics

  • Passion for fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $216,720 - $297,990. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
