This role will be responsible for two functional areas: 

  1. Digital strategy: The leader in this role will drive digital strategy discussions and work with the Sr Director, IT to define the digital strategy for discreet areas. Qualifying opportunities by doing user studies, creating business cases, and determining the potential. In this area, the person will play the role of an internal consultant and work with different stakeholders to understand the problem statement, define the digital strategy for solving the problem, and document high-level requirements and high-level wireframes for the technology solution. 
  1. Digital product strategy and management: Leading a team of resources to define the user experience, detailed product requirements, detailed process flows, and other product requirements-related artifacts. The technology team will use these artifacts to build the product. Own the ongoing pipeline management for key products that require ongoing changes.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define the digital strategy for specific business areas and problem statements 
  • Conduct user interviews, facilitate design thinking workshops and user testing of products to capture requirements for new products 
  • Build high-level financial and mission impact quantification models to calculate business cases for projects 
  • Own the transformation project pipeline and intake process 
  • Lead the team to create business capability maps, detailed process flows, requirements and user stories for specific opportunities 
  • Lead the team to define wireframes and user experience design for digital products 
  • Understand the business model and operations. Compare with industry best practices and identify opportunities for Innovation 
  • Partner with cross functional teams across the organization to define opportunities that can be solved using technology and data
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Consulting experience with big four or other top tier management consulting firms or with large organizations playing similar roles preferred
  • Experience driving change in organizations 
  • Ability to define business capabilities for digital products  
  • Experience with creating high-level wireframes and high-level user experience design 
  • Experience with design thinking, design sprint, empathy workshops and other processes for driving product innovation 
  • Experience with creating detailed current state and future state process flows 
  • Ability to create financial models for project business cases 
  • Experience with business analysis and documentation of product requirements for digital technology initiatives 
  • Constantly willing to push boundaries and overcome obstacles 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with executives
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Digital Strategy or related discipline. Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • At least 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience with digital products

Compensation

Tides is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. We value pay equity and account for factors such as your location within the U.S., your skills and your relevant experience, and we will not ask for your salary history. Your starting salary will fall into one of three ranges, depending on your location:

  • National market: $159,200 - $199,000 (Most U.S. states)
  • Moderate market: $173,600 - $217,000 (Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and D.C. metro areas) 
  • High market: $191,000 - $238,800 (New York City and San Francisco metro areas)
