The Senior Director of Corporate Strategy will be responsible for driving strategic planning and business initiatives, in support of Curriculum Associates (CA) long-term growth strategy, supporting both the core businesses (Curriculum Associates and suite of products) as well as Ellevation. This role will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to identify and execute opportunities that enhance our market position, drive revenue growth, and expand our footprint in the education technology sector. As we enter into our next stage of growth, this role will lead important growth strategies and operational initiatives to enable CA to continue to fulfill its mission of improving student outcomes in K-12 classrooms. The ideal candidate is passionate about education.
The Impact You'll Have:
• Drive strategic planning/business initiatives and other value creation activities, leading them in a manner that is aligned with CA values while attracting and retaining top talent.
• Lead the development and implementation of growth strategy initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals, making data driven recommendations, and collaborating with senior leaders to guide CA's direction.
• Bring strategic business judgment and an analytical framework to key decisions, drawing from a breadth of data sources and applying a cross-functional perspective to develop recommendations
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments in the ed tech space. Identify key areas for growth and expansion within the ed tech industry through market analysis and competitive intelligence.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new growth opportunities and potential areas of disruption. Develop business cases and operational analyses to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives on revenue, profitability, and shareholder value.
• Provide input and help lead other value creation activities and drive key components of the initiatives, including business process optimization and high-level data strategy.
• Connect CA’s value creation efforts to the organization’s mission, ensuring buy-in from key leaders and functions, and model CA’s Values and Leadership Competencies in all interactions and communications. Implement scalable communication and feedback forums, including QBRs.
What We're Looking For:
• Detailed understanding of strategic planning process and experience with complex strategic problem solving
• Demonstrated operational excellence with an affinity for a metrics-driven, results-driven approach. Demonstrated success with driving strategy to outcomes.
• Proven track record of success in managing others that provides strategic value and leadership to the business.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with, and engage multiple team members, stakeholders and key partners/customers, as well as inspire and drive strategic thought in teams.
• Analytical acumen with mastery with Excel and ability to articulate data insights.
• Enthusiasm for and commitment to CA’s mission to improve student outcomes in K-12 classrooms
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $126,750 - $233.750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Required Education and Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in driving strategy and value creation work.
• Work background in management consulting or strategy/biz ops at an education or technology company. Experience includes education technology or relevant vertical market software company.
Travel: Less than twice per month to Company offices only
People Manager/Individual Contributor: Individual Contributor with potential for future people management
