Reporting to the Head of AM, North America, develops validated business plans to deliver against annual financial & commercial targets. Plays a pivotal role in commercial leadership and works closely with sales, marketing, proposals teams, Portfolio Management and site operational functions prioritizing projects and opportunities!

Key responsibilities:
- Implement Lonza’s strategic plan to grow its presence in the small molecule business
- Analyzes market areas, defines business models & terms for developing and growing business of existing customers
- Partners alongside sales lead and Portfolio Management, to develop strategies to secure a rounded pipeline of opportunities.
- Explores opportunities for innovative business models to further differentiate Lonza from competition
- Develops retention and expansion strategies for customers in Lonza’s development pipeline and owns the portfolio to minimize risk
- Plays a key role in Market Development and elaboration of the market mix (strategic marketing) for Lonza Small Molecules
- Works efficiently with Portfolio Management to develop short-mid-long term commercial objectives.
- Advises on both technical and business aspects of the business for the portfolio of customers/products
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably Life Sciences or Engineering; Master’s and/or MBA preferred.
- +10 years of experience in CDMO Small Molecule drug substance and/or drug product sales.
- Proven track record in signing complex deals
- The ideal candidate will be geographically located in the East US Coast. Approximately 40% travel encouraged, including customer visits, Lonza site visits, internal meetings and industry conferences.
The full-time base annual salary for this remote position is expected to range between $230,000.00 and $320,000.00
