About the role

The Senior Director, Treasury, leads the development and execution of Oscar’s treasury strategy and policies including the management of the corporate investment portfolio and treasury operations.  This role is a key leadership role within the Finance and Treasury organizations and has exposure to senior leaders across the organization. The Senior Director, Treasury is responsible for the management and development of a team of Treasury professionals, ensuring the right talent is in the right places to execute against the global Treasury strategy.

You will report to the Vice President, FP&A.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $192,000 - $252,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $172,800 - $226,800 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Treasury strategic plan - including managing debt / equity targets and liquidity profile - aligned with company’s overall strategy and goals
  • Manage the corporate investment portfolio, set the investment strategy in accordance with corporate investment policy, and partner with 3rd party asset managers to execute investment strategy
  • Lead treasury operations, identifying ways to improve operational efficiency while implementing plans to increase treasury effectiveness
  • Partner with the Balance Sheet management team to develop longer term capital and liquidity strategy, ensure monitoring and reporting of key treasury metrics
  • Manage relationships with external banking partners and serve as point of contact for both commercial and investment banks
  • Manage all debt covenant reporting
  • Coach, support, and lead the professional development of your direct reports facilitate a culture of continuous improvement
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years experience in treasury or investment banking
  • 7+ years of experience distilling complex ideas and financial models into clear messages
  • 5+ years of experience developing strategy and influencing senior leaders

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience in insurance, healthcare or financial services industry
  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to drive actionable results
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Active Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
