As a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Web3/Blockchain/Oracles Engineering team, you will join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for mission-critical support of all applications and infrastructure. You will focus on product life cycle orchestration (automation, build/test/deploy pipelines, operations monitoring, infrastructure configuration). You will partner with internal and external teams to build and scale the various infrastructure components (including Kafka, API services, security solutions, and blockchain integrations) of our data platform. This team is responsible for supporting the development teams and streamlining the deployment process across a variety of instances – cloud providers and bare-metal nodes. This role is vital to our organization and will report to exec leadership and senior engineering leadership.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $129,200 - $175,400. In addition to your base salary, your total compensation package will include a targeted annual bonus, RSU, and benefits. 

Individual base pay depends on various factors, such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing infrastructure-as-code across for a variety of major cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Leverage extensive experience with Azure, utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm charts for consistent and efficient infrastructure management
  • Manage RPC nodes for EVM-based chains, ensuring high availability and secure operations
  • Integrate test automation frameworks within the codebase to support continuous quality checks
  • Set up tools and pipelines to facilitate seamless deployment processes, including CI/CD automation, configuration management, and artifact management
  • Apply and promote DevOps patterns and practices, enhancing the team’s knowledge and proficiency in best practices
  • Coordinate support issues for enterprise customers and translate blockchain-topics for audiences that are early in their onchain engagement journey
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to define priorities and ensure smooth deployments and alignment with operational goals
  • Nice to have: Engage with blockchain/Web3 trends, and understand deployment/devops use cases across Web3 and major blockchains (e.g., EVM-based chains, Substrate-based chains) 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. Certifications recommended. 
  • 5+ years in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
  • Cloud providers: Expertise in Azure Cloud
  • Tools: Proficiency with Git, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, and more.
  • Languages: Strong skills in Terraform, and scripting languages such as Bash and Python, as well as working with APIs
  • Containerization: Kubernetes, Rancher, Fleet, Docker
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Skilled in Terraform with Terragrunt and Atlantis for managing infrastructure.
  • Automation: Versioning, One-click deployment with a focus on CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and artifact automation/management.
  • Platform Management: Hands-on experience managing Azure environments, AKS, networking, and routing.
  • DevOps Best Practices: Understands common pitfalls in DevOps and how to avoid them, with a focus on resilient, scalable, and secure high-throughput systems.
  • Knowledge of blockchain indexing, web3 stack, consensus mechanisms, etc
  • Experience with rapid development cycles in a web-based environment
  • Ability to communicate and document operation/configuration procedures
  • Passionate about Web3, blockchain, decentralization, and a base understanding of the role that how data/analytics plays in expanding the universe of onchain use cases 
  • Ability to engage senior business leaders and translate between the needs of the business and the demands of / capacities of technology
