Job Description:
The Senior Deployment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of Nestle Health Science USA’s Supply Chain strategies and initiatives to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves creating innovative and new ideas on process mapping and strategic management of a newly merged network, managing inventory, planning distribution requirements, creating and managing stock transfer orders, and balancing finished goods levels across multiple distribution sites. The Senior Deployment Manager will also work closely with various departments to ensure seamless integration and execution of deployment activities.
This role will also manage deployment from Production to Distribution Centers (DCs) to maximize product availability, manage inventory levels at the Distribution Center level and will also coordinate transportation providers in order to drive efficiencies that translate into reduction of total delivered cost. This is a remote-based opportunity and is also a People Leader role.
Responsibilities:
• Strategically create and innovate the deployment of a new network to optimize Supply Chain operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of network strategies.
• Harmonize and standardize ways of working across businesses (integrated SAP and non-SAP) and deployment tools (Push Dispatch and STO’s) to create a cohesive DRP team within the confines of such differences.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies for process mapping to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in the newly formed NHS network.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Create and implement meaningful metrics and KPI’s for the Deployment team to monitor success, opportunities, and gaps.
• Manage and evaluate the deployment plan to satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and quality release constraints and warehousing requirements.
• Ensure the delivery of outstanding service at minimum "cost to serve" by: correctly setting and monitoring achievement of the target values for service and cost KPIs.
• Creates a structured approach towards continuous improvement and efficiently solving any physical logistics issues.
• Ensures that legal obligations are met or exceeded by adopting continuous excellence, NCE, and best practices, as well as driving all other Supply Chain customer efficiency initiatives (e.g. Cost to Serve, CO2 & Sustainability).
• Inventory Management: Ensure and Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.
• Determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply and highlight to Demand and Supply Planners by leading effective communication with relevant information.
• Highlights all supply issues and details impacts of proposed actions and related tradeoffs ensuring actions and supply plans are realistic and achievable In accordance with the business planning process.
• Support and implement cost of distribution improvement initiatives and projects with clear understanding of main drivers and areas of opportunity to reduce total delivered cost.
• Motivate and empower the team to achieve stated objectives.
• Provide orientation, training & development to individual team members, in support of high-performance team goals.
• Develop team to ensure growth, learning, and an active succession planning process.
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by direct People Leader.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or in a related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of professional work and management experience in Supply Chain Management, with a focus in Deployment, Inventory Management and/or Logistics required.
• 2+ years of People Leadership experience managing direct reports and in leading, motivating and influencing teams required.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint) and Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, Graphs, Formulas, etc.) required.
• Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, time management and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to both analyze and interpret data, story tell and build quantitative models of business problems required.
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and business priorities with minimal supervision.
• Must possess creative thinking skills and problem-solving skills to solve key business challenges.
• Ability to establish and implement processes and systems to improve working methods within the team and the organization (inspiring change management).
• Experience with SAP and Power BI and Project Management required.
• Willing and able to travel up to and including 15% based on the needs of the team and the business required.
The approximate pay range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
