The Digital Design and Delivery (DDD) division within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation (TI) leads the development of the next generation of digital public services for the GoA. DDD partners with other departments to deliver products, platforms and services that are better, faster, and easier, through modern user-centered agile processes. The Platforms branch within DDD is accountable for supporting ministry programs through the planning, development, delivery, and operations of user-centered common platform services. The branch builds and develops common platforms and data services that enable product teams to deliver working software that meets the needs of their users.

Role Responsibilities

The Platforms branch is looking for a Senior Data Services Analyst. This position reports to the Manager of Common Data Services.

The responsibilities of this role includes:

Data Services Provision

• Working with platform and product teams to identify and define data services and build project plans, review and make recommendations on database optimization and schemas.
• Developing secure back-end common data API’s and microservices to meet business needs.
• Contributing to the integration and synchronization of common data with technical expertise, while employing systems-thinking approaches to help meet the needs of government and users effectively.
• Providing access to appropriate datasets to meet specific project needs (e.g., reference data, API access, legacy data).
• Working with product teams to transition solutions to operations, including preparation of relevant documentation, processes, and more.
• Creating and controlling live structured datasets to make it easier for teams to build products and services.
