Senior Data Scientist *Remote. Most States Eligible*

The Senior Data Scientist is a subject matter expert in AI-driven healthcare, precision medicine, and advanced analytics, leveraging health data to develop machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) solutions that improve patient care and research. This role implements AI and predictive analytics within the Providence Clinical Innovation Institute (PCII), supporting genomics, biomarker discovery, clinical decision support, and healthcare research.

Integrating structured and unstructured data from health records, clinical notes, and medical imaging, they drive insights in precision medicine and digital health. They apply predictive modeling, statistical analyses, and build a data ecosystem supporting advanced analytics across healthcare domains.

Collaborating with data engineers, solution architects, researchers, and leadership, the Senior Data Scientist manages the full project lifecycle—from data design and preparation to deploying scalable ML models that uncover patterns and inform research. Using SQL, Python, Databricks, and Azure, they deliver flexible solutions for data-driven decision-making.

They contribute to a growing team, engage in Providence’s data science community, and bridge research, engineering, and healthcare operations. Success is measured by impactful AI models, NLP integration into workflows, data ecosystem enhancements, and effective communication of complex findings across technical and non-technical audiences.
