The Senior Data Engineer/Data Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our data infrastructure and pipelines. This role requires a visionary thinker who can transform raw data from disparate sources into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidence, trust, scalability, reliability, and security of our data ecosystem. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Essential Functions: 

    •  Develop and implement robust, scalable, and efficient data architecture solutions to meet organizational business needs on an ongoing basis. 

    •  Define data modeling standards and best practices for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. 

    •  Ensure the architecture supports data quality, governance, and compliance requirements. 

    •  Design and maintain scalable company workflows for ingesting, transforming, and distributing data across systems and tools. 

    •  Automate data pipelines to handle large-scale datasets with minimal latency. 

    •  Optimize pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments. 

    •  Develop error handling protocols, proactive alerting methods, and work with cross-functional stakeholders for improvements and fixes for issues that arise.  

    •  Manage data integrations from various sources and ensure data flows to expected tools for end users to utilize. 

    •  Lead the deployment and maintenance of databases, data lakes, and data warehouses. 

    •  Implement data partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies to improve query performance. 

    •  Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand data requirements and train team on data acumen. 

    •  Develop clear communication strategies to share data insights and updates with stakeholders, enhancing transparency and trust. 

    •  Engage stakeholders through regular workshops and feedback sessions to ensure data solutions meet user needs and compliance requirements. 

    •  Work with account management and sales team to provide insights around partner populations and impact of services that deepen relationships with our partners.  

    •  Work with marketing team to prove data insights into patient conversion, retention, and engagement by outreach channel. 

    •  Work with clinical team to provide reporting on clinical efficiency and productivity to improve clinical outcomes, patient engagement, and clinical Q/A. 

    •  Work with operations team to provide reporting on operations efficiencies and productivity of operations team, customer service, and so on. 

    •  Work with finance team and RCM teams to streamline reporting and financial reporting automation. 

    •  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects. 

    •  Establish a governance framework that includes stakeholder input for data management policies, enhancing accountability and engagement. 

    •  Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data security and compliance.

Who You Are 

  • Required:  

    •  7+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or a related role. 

    •  Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale data systems. 

    •  Ability to leverage AI/ML workflows to improve data management efficiency and time to value for cross-functional stakeholders. 

    •  Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. 

    •  Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB). 

    •  Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services. 

    •  Familiarity with big data tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. 

    •  Knowledge of data governance, security, AI-assisted development, and compliance frameworks. 

    •  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

    •  Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

    •  Leadership and mentoring capabilities.

    •  Stay updated with emerging data technologies and assess their applicability to the organization. 

    •  Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in data management processes and tools. 

    •  Leverage AI first mentality for optimizing and innovating on data architecture.

  • Authorized or able to provide required documents to work in United States or Canada.
