Senior CyberSecurity Engineer(remote)

 In this position you will have the unique opportunity to support our KCLM team; through innovative engineering you will contribute to improving our Key, Certificate and Secret posture through modern integrations and cutting-edge products. Doing your part to protect Humana and its affiliates and reducing potential outages by introducing automation and retiring legacy workflows.

Your role as senior engineer will be to direct the team in roadmap planning, design, and delivery. As a lead you ensure north star direction of enterprise-level infrastructure and security strategies. You will be empowered to make bold decisions in the best interest of Humana and affiliates, through communication, alignment, and partnership.

The Senior CyberSecurity Engineer is involved in all stages of KCLM systems and Infrastructure management, ensuring that:

• Infrastructure and systems are using modern design and best practice for scalability and resiliency
• The installation, configuration and administration of infrastructure and security systems is done while ensuring best practices, lifecycle management and operational hygiene
• They have a robust understanding of platform architectures and their interconnectivity
• Use their voice to help lead department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives
• Make sound decisions regarding workloads, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction
• Follows established guidelines/procedures
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Ability to provide technical guidance to senior leadership and business
• Robust understanding of RSA Protocol and the knowledge of industry direction in the SSL Certificate space

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years’ experience in infrastructure/network security by designing, installing, configuring and administering network infrastructure and security systems
• Understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred:

• Relevant Security Certifications

Remote/WAH requirements:

• WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
