The role

One’s Design Team is here to help people achieve balance in how they save, spend, and grow their money by creating approachable solutions that can give everyone a path toward financial well-being. The Sr. Creative, Art, position at One is a pivotal role in developing compelling creative to communicate this offering to our current and future customers. 

You will work closely with the Product and Marketing teams across deliverables in our primary distribution channel from consumer retail and events to digital advertising and campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual thinking and design skills, leveraging expertise in design principles, composition skills, typography, and art direction to move the brand forward. This role reports to the Design Manager, Channel. .While we do gather periodically in person, this is a remote position.

This role is responsible for:  

  • Collaborating closely with the Design Studio, copywriting partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work, always considering the customer experience.

  • Working independently on multiple projects, executing at a consistently high level of design.

  • Leveraging existing brand identity system while also knowing when to push its evolution.

  • Partnering with fellow designers, fostering a culture of design excellence.

  • Solving creative problems effectively and adapting to changing needs.

  • Generating innovative conceptual ideas alongside talented team members to support anything from the smallest creative tasks to full campaign concepts.

  • Taking ownership of projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining consistency across all deliverables.

  • Ideating and creating at high speed and volume, from concepts to final deliverables, managing multiple projects with short timelines

  • Building relationships with business and creative partners — and clearly articulating strategic thinking and design decisions to a variety of cross-functional teammates.

  • Contributing to a culture of excellence with a focus on craft and quality of the work.

  • Solid, imaginative design ability and expert understanding of the creative production process.

  • Additional duties as assigned by your manager.

You bring
  • 5-10 years of hands-on agency or in-house experience.

  • Extensive experience working in-house with consumer-facing brands.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing detailed, thought-provoking, and expertly crafted work, ideally including print, packaging, and digital advertising.

  • Expert design and typography skills.

  • Strong conceptualization, brainstorming, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in an environment with multiple priorities with tight deadlines.

  • Effective time management and organization skills.

  • High-proficiency in Figma and Adobe CC. After Effects and 3D experience are a plus.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology and design trends.

  • Self-starter, collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Curiosity and passion with a keen understanding of creative and cultural nuances for our audience.

Pay Transparency

The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,000 - $150,000. Pay is generally based upon the level, complexity, responsibility, and job duties / requirements of the specific position. Leveling Philosophy

In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at One. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within One.
