About the Role:

Self is looking for a talented writer who can step into our customers' shoes and create compelling copy across various marketing channels. As Self's Senior Copywriter, you'll report to the Chief Marketing Officer and work with teams across the company to craft copy for ads, email campaigns, scripts, educational content, our website and app, and more. You'll be the guardian of Self's brand voice, using data and testing to shape your work, and play a key role in driving customer engagement and conversion. Your writing will impact millions of current and potential customers as they work to build or rebuild their credit and finances.

What You’ll Do:

  • Gain a deep understanding of our customers, the language that resonates with them, the competitive landscape, and industry trends to develop copy that drives business and customer outcomes
  • Bring strategic and creative ideas to all you do
  • Own and create guidelines for the brand voice that reinforce consistent tone, style and best practices across campaigns and various customer touchpoints. 
  • AB test and analyze data and user feedback to fine-tune and optimize your work 
  • Work collaboratively across the organization, but most frequently with the performance marketing, product and product marketing teams
  • Performance Marketing: Develop high-converting copy for paid media campaigns, lifecycle marketing (email, push, and SMS), landing pages, and other acquisition-focused initiatives
