We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who has expertise with building and maintaining Cloud Native solutions built on Amazon Web Services. As a key member of HealthMark’s SecOps engineering team, you will be focused on building out the IT infrastructure of new products and upgrading and maintaining the platforms of existing products.
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer must be able to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery, and excellent engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability, the ability to create innovative solutions, and be ability to work with customers to solve networking and deployment issues. HealthMark Group is building the next generation of software for digital health information, including patient engagement and patient records. We focus on reducing the overall administrative burden of healthcare patient data journeys.
PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing, building, managing, maintaining, and securing HMG’s cloud infrastructure (virtual machines, containers, virtual private cloud network, identity management, storage, database and serverless services)
- Ensure cloud infrastructure performance, uptime, and scale
- Secure cloud infrastructure in accordance with security policies
- Work with Product Engineering teams to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Be a persistent, creative problem solver
- Maintaining an eye toward security, scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Work in an agile environment along with Product Engineering
- Participating in a mostly remote, results-driven working environment
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of professional infrastructure experience
- 3+ years of AWS Cloud experience; architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
- Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework
- Strong Windows and/or Linux server administration skills
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD
- In-depth knowledge of AWS networking services (Organizations, Control Tower, VPC, EC2, ELB, Route 53, Transit Gateway, and VPC Peering), Compute (EC2, Lambda), containers (docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Fargate), and cloud-native services (S3, API Gateway, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch).
- Expertise in securing cloud infrastructure and implementing security tooling
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Identity Access Management
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Results Oriented
- Work with Product Engineering teams to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- AWS Associate or Specialty certifications
- Experience with Analytic and Data AWS Services (Healthlake, Glue, EMR, RedShift)
- Experience working in an Agile environment with Product Engineering
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Healthcare industry experience
- Expertise with Azure DevOps build and release capabilities
