Senior Cloud Engineer - REMOTE

The Senior Cloud Engineer will upskill junior team members and set technical direction, driving new cloud infrastructure implementations across the organization and leading technical initiatives for both greenfield projects and the modernization of legacy systems. You will design and implement cloud-native solutions while assisting in the migration of existing applications, making a significant impact on healthcare and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security, while building and maintaining scalable, reliable infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the development and optimization of infrastructure as code (IaC) implementations using industry best practices.
• DevOps Practices: Drive DevOps practices and culture, including CI/CD pipeline development and automation, and contribute to the adoption of monitoring and observability best practices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional and development teams to improve deployment processes, application performance, and overall operational efficiency.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical direction and strategy of the team.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across multiple environments.
• Support: Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Significant experience in cloud engineering, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferred).
• Programming Skills: High level of proficiency in programming for automation and tooling (Python, Go, Node.js, .NET, TypeScript).
• Configuration Management: Significant experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Pulumi, Terraform, or Bicep.
• CI/CD Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of GitHub, pipelines, and modern Git workflows (or another CI/CD platform).
• Linux Skills: Experience of Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
