Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Software Developer to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services.
- Implement and manage serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.
- Configure and manage Application Load Balancers and API Gateway for scalable and secure application delivery.
- Develop and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS and Docker.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Extensive experience with AWS Lambda for serverless computing.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Application Load Balancers.
- Strong knowledge of API Gateway for creating, deploying, and managing APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and Docker for container orchestration.
- Proficiency in TypeScript for application development.
- Solid understanding of AWS developer tools and services, including but not limited to AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CodeDeploy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline builds and automation.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance.
- Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
