Senior Climate Resilience Specialist
Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
ICF is seeking an early to mid-career professional to provide technical assistance to Federal grantees in the area of coastal climate resilience. The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: resilience training and planning, social science, coastal management, environmental science, engagement, or geospatial analysis. The role involves applying adult learning principles, providing technical assistance, and supporting various coastal climate resilience projects at national, state, territorial, and local levels.
Mid-Atlantic (Hampton Roads area of Virginia or within commuting distance to coastal Delaware, Maryland, Virginia region)
Experience in resilience planning with rural or agricultural communities.
Knowledge of climate risk communication best practices.
Ability to problem-solve and manage conflict among diverse stakeholders.
Subject-matter expertise in capacity building strategies for rural communities.
Background in equitable climate adaptation or resilience planning.
Experience with Federal award management.
Experience working with regional collaboratives or communities of practice.
Experience applying social science methods to coastal management challenges.
Ability to process and synthesize climate data for agricultural applications.
Experience working in Delaware/Maryland/Virginia region.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s OR master’s degree in climate science, atmospheric science, Earth science, data science, environmental science, or a related field.
6+ years (with Bachelors) OR 2+ years (with Masters) of full-time professional work experience in coastal resiliency including the following areas (one or more): resilience training and planning, social science, coastal management, environmental science, engagement, and/or geospatial analysis.
Experience in project management.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
