Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis (BA)
- Lead BA function by bridging the gap between technical requirements and business objectives.
- Consult with subject matter experts to define, document, and refine system requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors to develop and implement system integrations and enhancements.
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system changes meet IA requirements.
- Document and ensure resolution of issues uncovered during UAT.
- Become an expert on IA data and business processes to identify areas where technology can improve quality and efficiency.
- Evaluate and research system functionalities to test for solutions of business needs.
- Monitor active data feeds to ensure functioning and quickly address any failures.
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states.
- Train IA team on system functionality to maximize adoption and usability.
- Own documentation, communication, and training on system updates and enhancements.
- Provide thought leadership within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones by coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and adapt plans as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of system requirements, testing processes, user feedback, and solutions.
- Report to stakeholders and leadership project progress, system performance, vendor relationship status, and optimization outcomes.
- Investigate and implement automated solutions that will streamline internal workflows, such as utilizing APIs released by system vendors.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to inform decision-making on relevant projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the organization’s data and system capabilities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:- 5-8 years of experience within a business analyst or similar system ownership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance, information systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven abilities in time management, independent execution, producing high quality deliverables and customer service.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Translate functional requirements into technical needs and articulate to management and vendors.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to interface with various technology systems required.
- Experience with large data sets and data cleaning best practices required.
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands for others and communicate the priorities effectively.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
- Expertise with database management tools, like SQL, Snowflake, or MongoDB and the development of tools utilizing APIs are preferred.
- Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.
- Skill with one or more of the following programming languages is desirable: Python, R, or Java.
- Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred.
- Experience with investment management systems, such as Addepar, preferred.
- Experience in the donor advised fund space and/or alternative assets preferred.

- Flexibility and willingness to engage with the team in a virtual team environment.

- Base salary ranges from $125,000 - $164,000 and is highly dependent on experience and location
