Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

CLEAR is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to work across our organization—spanning Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing—to unlock valuable insights and drive strategic decisions. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure, analyzing subscription metrics (acquisition, conversion, retention), and translating data into actionable insights that shape CLEAR’s growth. You’ll leverage your advanced SQL and Looker development skills to create data models and impactful dashboards, ensuring that key stakeholders can easily access and understand the metrics that matter.

What you'll do:

• Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) across teams, focusing on subscription metrics (acquisition, conversion, retention)
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine metrics and ensure they align with business goals
• Develop and enhance Looker Explores, dashboards, and user-friendly reports to deliver clear, actionable insights
• Champion best practices in data visualization and user experience, ensuring stakeholders can interpret and use the data
• Communicate analysis findings and trends through dashboards, written narratives, or presentations
• Partner with teams to formulate hypotheses, run A/B tests, and measure results.
• Leverage Python and data science techniques for advanced analytics and modeling (e.g., churn prediction, segmentation, machine learning) is a plus

How you'll measure success:

• Timely & Trusted Deliverables: You consistently deliver dashboards, reports, and analyses on schedule, and stakeholders rely on these insights to make critical business decisions
• Enhanced Looker Experience & Adoption: You improve the usability of Looker for analysts across the company—evidenced by higher stakeholder satisfaction and regular adoption of self-service dashboards. You proactively solicit and incorporate feedback to continuously refine BI deliverables
• Expanded Self-Service Capabilities: You reduce the volume of repetitive refresh or ad-hoc requests by identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements. Teams can independently access and analyze data, freeing you up to focus on high-value analytical projects
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: You actively share best practices (for Looker, SQL, etc.) within the team and across the organization. You partner closely with Data Engineering, ensuring high-quality data for end users

What you're great at:

• Advanced SQL & Data Modeling: Skilled at writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
• Looker Development & Dashboarding: Experienced in building LookML models, Explores, and dashboards in Looker, with a focus on user-friendly design
• Business Acumen in Subscription Models: Solid understanding of subscription metrics (acquisition, conversion, retention) and the ability to turn analytical insights into strategies that drive growth and efficiency
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Skilled at translating data into compelling stories that highlight the “why” behind the numbers, and adept at tailoring communication to technical and non-technical audiences
• Curious Mindset & Continuous Learning: Eagerness to explore new technologies, data science methods (e.g., Python), and advanced analytics approaches, along with a passion for staying current on industry trends and best practices

The base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
