Senior Business Development Representative - Remote, US

We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned outbound Sr. Business Development Representative (BDR) with a “hunter” mentality to leverage emails, calls, and LinkedIn to generate opportunities for Model N within the Life Sciences industry (MedTech & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing). You will work closely with your assigned Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to conduct account research, identify key prospects, and craft tailored messaging to grow pipeline and revenue for the Net New Sales team. Given Model N’s market share and reputation as the leading cloud-based revenue management solution for the Life Sciences industry, you will benefit from our brand recognition in your outreach to Pharma and Medtech Executives. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your RSM to prioritize Model N target accounts, develop and execute an outreach strategy  
  • Conduct account research, identify key prospects, and craft tailored messaging to book outbound meetings  
  • Generate opportunities to aggressively drive the growth of the sales funnel  
  • Prospect, educate and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities  
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns and events in a timely manner 
  • Schedule meetings and/or product demonstrations for the Net New sales team 
  • Keep abreast of Model N’s products, the Life Sciences industry, and relevant technologies  
  • Utilize sales tech stack (LinkedIn, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Chorus, Demandbase, etc.) and document all communication with prospects in Salesforce.com  
  • Adhere to territory hours, metrics, and customize scripts for market segments and various prospect types when needed 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, enterprise software sales, or B2B sales  
  • Bachelor's or equivalent, or military experience  
  • SaaS (Software as a Service) experience highly preferred 
  • CRM and CPQ experience a plus  
  • High-volume cold calling experience required 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, Outreach, ZoomInfo, …
