Senior Budget Analyst

We are currently seeking a Senior Budget Analyst with extensive federal government experience across all stages of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This position will support our federal government portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Congressional Budget Requirements Process, with extensive experience in budgetary and financial analysis in the federal sector. As such, they will be able to lead support to federal clients, particularly within the Department of Homeland Security, and advise senior federal officials on budget formulation and preparation. The candidate will also be able to participate in and lead responses to internal and external data calls. This position will join our Data Analytics Division and report to our Analytics Manager. Candidates must work East Coast hours, with preference given to those able to work in a hybrid environment based out of Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Leads support to budget formulation data calls and other internal and external data calls as required.
- Advises senior federal clients on all stages of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process.
- Evaluates the impact of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, and other directives on current operations, managerial programs and procedures.
- Recommends actions aimed at achieving organizational financial objectives and improvement of future program objectives.
- Develops and maintains long range financial plans for federal clients, including data preparation and review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
- 10+ years of experience as a financial and/or budget analyst in the federal government space
- Expertise in Excel
- Experience using PowerBI for budget analysis and reporting
- Aptitude for working with a diverse set of stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability
- Ability to work East Coast hours required. Ability to occasionally work on site in Arlington, VA preferred.
