Senior Biostatistician

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Biostatistician to participate in advancing Natera’s Women’s Health and Organ Health product portfolios of cutting-edge diagnostic assays. As a Senior Biostatistician, you will leverage your strong applied statistics background along with your experience in clinical trials to design and implement statistical analysis and reporting of clinical data for multiple high-priority projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • With minimal guidance, drive design and execution of high-impact research, contributing to clinical trial and clinical research projects and publications
  • Develop statistical analysis plans that align with research aims, perform relevant statistical analyses for studies of varying complexity (e.g., sample size and power calculations, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, analysis of large databases)
  • With minimal guidance, produce high quality presentations and author documentation of analysis plans, methods, results, and interpretation
  • Collaborate with statisticians, statistical programmers, clinicians, laboratory scientists, clinical trial and data managers, data scientists, and other subject-matter experts to provide statistical support for clinical studies and research projects
  • Effectively convey statistical concepts and results to cross-functional collaborators and stakeholders
  • Promote statistical and regulatory best practices
  • When challenges arise, identify risks, communicate concerns, and champion solutions to interdisciplinary project teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or equivalent with 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical trial or clinical research experience
  • Practical experience with statistical analysis software such as R (preferred), SAS, or JMP.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Expert applied knowledge of advanced statistical methods in clinical trials
  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to collaborate as part of cross-functional teams with members of diverse technical backgrounds
  • Ability to produce high quality written documentation for varying audiences
  • Exposure to next generation sequencing (NGS) and genetics data analysis a plus

 

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote USA$110,200—$137,700 USD
