Job Description

 

We are seeking a skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud architecture, automation, security, and performance optimization.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Design & Deploy: Develop, configure, and maintain AWS cloud solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage IAM roles, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Set up monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.), optimize cloud performance, and manage costs.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Networking & Connectivity: Configure VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and routing for secure and efficient cloud networking.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring system reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work with DevOps, security, and software development teams to support cloud-native applications.

 

What you will bring to C&F:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4–6+ years of AWS Cloud Services experience.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, IAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with logging & monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $105,800 to a maximum of $155,100. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
