A great opportunity exists for a detail oriented, innovative, confident, and experienced professional to join the Business Operations Process & Engineering Team as a Senior Associate Process Manager within the Business Cards and Payments Organization. Successful associates are self-motivated, possess strong decision making ability and are comfortable researching and solving problems across multiple areas and systems. In addition, this associate will have strong interpersonal skills that are crucial for fostering collaboration and teamwork within the team and with our internal partners. 

A successful candidate for this Sr. Process Manager role will:

  • Work with business partners to identify, manage, and mitigate risk to Capital One

  • Develop a strong understanding of risks, requirements, controls, processes, and corrective actions through review and evaluation

  • Partner with vertical risk managers to perform an analysis of risks and requirements and their association with the control

  • Support control and process documentation creation and revision, including version control

  • Assist in the planning and execution of control assessments and hygiene

  • Serve as a SME for compliance controls, troubleshooting control questions and issues, ensuring adherence to regulations, and maintaining detailed documentation

  • Monitor multiple processes to ensure they meet the needs and intent of the business; sharing reporting and consistent updates to leadership

  • Identify and drive improvements that streamline, automate, and reduce risks of processes that would improve internal/external customer experience

  • Exhibit creative thinking and problem solving skills to achieve desired outcomes, by bridging gaps, improving and clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions that are scalable, standardized, and operational ready

  • Furthering the Well Managed agenda within Card to drive sustainability, amplify simplification & automation, enable ownership & accountability through transparency, and strengthen the control ecosystem

Work from Home Technology Requirements:

  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions

  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot 

    • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network

    • Internet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP) 

    • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions

    • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred

    • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com, type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page

  • Both Hardwire and WiFI internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice. Internet Service Provider specs can change by provider and location within the US. If you are experiencing consistent issues with internet stability Capital One reserves the right to ask the agent to upgrade internet service to ensure a good customer experience.

Work from Home Living Requirements:

Candidates must live within approximately 100 miles of one of the hub locations based in 23238, 22102, or 75023 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours 

notice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification 

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Process Management or Project Management 

  • 3+ years of Risk Management

  • 2+ years of experience in auditing

  • Business Process Management (BPM) Certification, Lean certification or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Plano, TX: $78,400 - $89,500 for Sr. Process Manager


 

McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
