The anticipated salary range for this role is between $80,000.00 and $125,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking help for our Accounting Team for the Digital Banking Unit. Come imagine the possibilities! 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary responsibility will be to monitor the settlement of banking activity (reconciling Federal Reserve Bank activity to core banking software activity). 
  • This includes identifying and documenting transactional anomalies that may occur on the Bank’s processing platform and communicating findings with internal and third-party teams. 
  • Develop and document processes and procedures for tasks performed in this position, assist in UAT testing/error identification/error resolution and other ad hoc projects. 
  • Identify and Perform Quality Control exercises on the Modern Banking Platform  
  • Oversee testing for Regulatory Report extracts by communicating among the various involved teams throughout the organization  
  • Work with IT and Compliance to create data flow, test delivery and continuously innovate to integrate the various systems  
  • Financial management of the Digital bank includes, resource planning, profit and loss, deposits, accounting G/L, and reporting. 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in retail/consumer banking  
  • Previous experience reviewing ACH activity  
  • Familiarity with loan payments 
  • Proficiency with Accounting (Debit, Credit, Liabilities, risk) and accounting systems  
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience  
  • Experience in the consumer Financial Services industry (i.e.. retail banking, credit, or loan with Deposit and Savings preferred) 
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.  
  • Ability to listen, influence and deliver results in a remote environment 
  • Attention to Detail
