Role Overview

The Purchase Experience team has embarked on an exciting journey to transform the end-to-end purchase experience, encompassing all products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability insurance, business solutions and wealth management. With this transformation new tools and processes will be introduced and will require monitoring to ensure these innovative tools are delivering as expected and to identify improvements. The Purchase Experience Operations Enablement (PXOE) team is building an accelerated underwriting monitoring program to evaluate new underwriting tools including those that introduce additional sources of underwriting data.  We are seeking an individual who will be a key contributor to building this process, using their underwriting expertise to analyze results, identify trends and improvement opportunities. This role will be part of the PXOE Quality Control team.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Build an accelerated underwriting quality control process with support from several key stakeholders

  • Analyze requirements and data for inconsistencies, application misrepresentation, medical history not captured in other sources

  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, inconsistencies, manage mortality, etc

  • Document findings and recommendations

  • Collaborate with Insights and Analytics team on findings and recommendations

  • Identify additional training or support for end users

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to schedule fixes, design enhancements, etc

  • Establish and meet production standards

  • Develop meaningful dashboards

  • Work with Automation team to evolve or identify transactions for automation solutions

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5 years plus of life underwriting experience including medical records reviews

  • Strong skills in using underwriting software and technology platforms

  • Advanced critical thinking: Ability to evaluate complex scenarios, assess data from multiple sources and make informed, strategic decisions to optimize outcomes.

  • Advanced collaboration and communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues to diverse stakeholders

  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email management with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems, general knowledge of innovative tools using AI.

  • FLMI, ALU, or CLU designations are preferred

  • MBA is preferred

 

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $80,000-$110,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

 

Please note: This role requires FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
