Guidewire Professional Services organization specializing in data and analytics is seeking an exceptional professional to join our team.   In this role you will utilize Guidewire standards, and best practices to enable our customer’s Data and Analytics initiative that are a mission critical component of their overall cloud journey. As a member of our organization, you will be expected to work with our customers, partners and other Guidewire team members to execute successful data transformation projects utilizing Guidewire’s data solution portfolio of products and solution frameworks.  In addition to your dedication to our customers' success you will share your knowledge and benefit of your experiences with other Guidewire colleagues, enhance our project methodology and build/expand our tooling to improve our project execution to enable predictable outcomes.

Given the dynamic nature of the work in the Data and Analytics team, we are looking for decisive, highly-skilled technical problem solvers who are self-motivated and take proactive actions for the benefit of our customers and ensure that they succeed in their journey to Guidewire Cloud Platform. You will cooperate closely with teams located around the world and adhere to our core values Integrity, Collegiality, and Rationality

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will deliver value to whichever substream you are assigned to in our customer’s data journey whether it be the ingress side to our flagship core InsuranceSuite applications using our migration tooling or on the egress side, delivering value leveraging our data platform.

  • You will work within the broader Guidewire data team to improve our internal processes and methodology.

  • You will participate in the creation of new tooling to support and streamline our project outcomes.

  • You are a self-motivated problem-solver who takes initiative and always puts customer success first.

  • You can adapt and perform at a high level in demanding fast-paced Agile environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 8 years + in delivery type role

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Ability to build lead and build consensus around requirements

  • Enables offshore teams to be successful in delivering agreed upon business requirements while conforming to Guidewire best practices & standards.

  • Coordinate with the PMO to provide technical leadership when necessary

  • Work in small teams and participate in a hands-on technical capacity when needed for meeting project goals.

  • Development experience using Java (or other Object-Oriented language) preferred

  • Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts.

  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases

  • Proficiency in SQL, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud computing skills.

  • Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $143,000 - $251,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
