The Senior Annuity Desk Lead plays a pivotal role within Wealth Enhancement’s Centralized Insurance Solutions and Product groups, driving success for Advisors, clients, and internal teams alike.

As the driving force behind the establishment, development, and ongoing management of a centrally supported Annuity Desk, the Senior Annuity Desk Lead will leverage deep industry knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills to develop strategies, train advisors, and foster client confidence. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives on innovation, education, and delivering exceptional value.

Focused on growth and delivering exceptional outcomes, this position develops and presents innovative ideas and strategies to advisors and their clients. Additionally, the Sr. Annuity Specialist collaborates with stakeholders to craft and share thought leadership on annuity and economic topics, both within the firm and across external audiences.

This position is a fully remote opportunity. The salary target for this role is $125,000 - $145,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for a corporate bonus plan.

Primary Job Functions

Annuity Desk Development and Oversight

  • Work closely with our Advisors and Executive team to design and implement the framework for an Annuity Desk, including process workflows, service standards, and operational guidelines.

  • Serve as an expert on the annuity marketplace, providing guidance, education, and recommendations.

  • Evaluate and onboard annuity carriers and platforms aligned with the firm’s objectives and client needs.

  • Develop tools and resources to support advisor education and client engagement.

Advisor Guidance and Support

  • Direct partnership with Advisors to provide clients with a start-to-finish concierge service for annuity analysis and review, policy implementation, and ongoing servicing.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on annuities, specifically Variable, Fixed and Advisory annuities.

  • Mastery of quoting tools and ability to provide guidance on product selection and integration into client portfolios.

  • Conduct ongoing training sessions and workshops to enhance advisors’ knowledge and confidence in discussing annuity strategies with clients.

  • Partner with advisors to deliver tailored annuity solutions that align with clients’ long-term financial goals.

Strategic Business Initiatives and Thought Leadership

  • Collaborate across Wealth Enhancement Group with various stakeholders to enhance our platform, improve client experience, and ensure our centralized solutions are a competitive advantage.

  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging products to position the firm as a leader in annuity strategies.

  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to create educational materials and thought leadership content on annuities.

  • Foster relationships with external partners, including carriers and wholesalers, to ensure access to the most competitive solutions.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required

  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and applicable Insurance licenses required (e.g. life, variable annuity)

  • Relevant certifications, such as CFP®, ChFC®, or RICP®, highly preferred

  • FINRA Series 65 preferred

  • Management experience preferred

  • Proven experience in annuity sales, consulting, or strategy development, ideally within an RIA or financial advisory firm

  • Deep understanding of annuity products, including fixed, indexed, variable, and income annuities, as well as their role in financial planning

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
