We're looking for an Android Mobile DevOps Engineer with deep experience in running Java/JVM workloads on AWS infrastructure. On the Mobile App Platform team, our “customers” are our peers -- developers, product managers, and quality engineers at Zillow Group. You’ll build, improve, and optimize our Android developer CI/CD pipelines that run hundreds of thousands of workloads every month. You’ll design, collect and report on metrics across the software development lifecycle in search of ways to make pipelines even faster and more reliable. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $158,200.00 - $252,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.Who you are
- You’re passionate about making it easy and efficient to deliver constantly evolving, large-scale mobile applications.
- Expert in AWS cloud architecture and development
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, observability, security, and cost optimization
- You love infrastructure-as-code, declarative programming, and immutable infrastructure
- You love measuring and tuning JVM, Gradle, Kotlin, container, and EC2 settings and performance to handle a wide variety of CI/CD workloads
- You love to give tech talks, architecture presentations, and write how-to guides
- 6+ years of software development experience
