Senior Analyst – Syndicated Loan Operations

UnitedLex is adding a Senior Analyst to our growing LexLoan team!  The Senior Analyst, Syndicated Loan Operations shall operate within UnitedLex’s LexLoan Financial Services office in Durham, NC.  They will be responsible for servicing all lifecycle events throughout the Syndicated Loans process and contribute expert level knowledge to projects and process enhancements.

This position will primarily be Work from Office (WFO) given the nature of business and the client driven security policies and requirements.  Work hours would be generally 8am to 5pm with weekends off.  We welcome applicants from the Durham, North Carolina commutable area.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Processing all loan related activity including drawdowns, borrowings, rollovers, conversions, and interest/fee payments.
  • Participate in projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency.   
  • Settle primary and secondary trades through the review of ClearPar funding memos.
  • Review trade economics in ClearPar and update as needed.
  • Identify, reconcile, and resolve cash breaks and other trade discrepancies. 
  • Partner with external stakeholders to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Process loan life cycle events related to the Trade Settlement process.
  • Maintain effective operational controls.
  • Manage service delivery and ensure 100% of all Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements, Employee Satisfaction indexes are met.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Should have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.
  • Deep domain knowledge of Loan Syndication, Trade Settlement procedures and Loan IQ platform is a must.
  • Strong Knowledge of wire transfers (FED, CHIPS, SWIFT)
  • Eye for detail and the ability to collaborate and work with global teams.
  • Strong analytical skills. Should be comfortable handing large data sets and be able to analyze and drive conclusions.
  • Ability to execute personal time management adhering to deadlines and proactively manage conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and industry related platforms like LoanIQ, ClearPar, Syndtrak, and Debt Domain will be an added advantage.
  • Strong client service and customer orientation.
  • Ability to independently present thoughts and presentations of ideas with peers and management.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple assignments at once, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work from office. The Organization does facilitate a limited hybrid work model.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for any business requirements.
  • Having worked with global teams will be an added advantage.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000/year. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
